Glimtrex Hardwaxoil - UNIO
Glimtrex Hardwaxoil is produced on the basis of linseed oil, sunflower oil, jojoba oil, beeswax, carnauba wax and candelilla wax. Unio is a 100% solvent-free oil wax.
PRODUCT FEATURES:
● 1 layer is enough to protect the floor.
● 1L is enough to cover approx. 40m2.
● When applying to the floor, proceed as follows:
1. Sand the floor last with paper or mesh No. 120
2. Oil the floor with white felt and a polishing machine.
3. Polish with red felt if necessary
4. After 24 hours, apply Unio First Care to the floor with a mop.
● The product reaches approximately 95% of its final strength (hardening) in 24 hours.

● Fast drying time, 3-6 hours - 2-4 hours with the addition of hardener.
● When mixed with hardener, there is no drying problem with exotic wood species.

● Stain resistant – oil, wine, coffee, juice and mild household chemicals will not damage the surface. Tested according to DIN 6861-1B requirements.

● Maintenance and cleaning are easy using Glimtrex Unio Floor-Care.
● We recommend using it in homes of people with allergies, as it is very easy to remove dust and other dirt from the finished surface.

Sand the floor with sanding paper or sanding mesh No. 120. Remove sanding dust and other dirt. Make sure that the floor heating is turned off at least 3 days before oiling. This allows the oil wax to dry without additional heat, which ensures better surface durability. Before using the oil wax, mix the product thoroughly and make sure that the product temperature during operation is 18-22 degrees. Unio hardwax is applied to the surface with felt, preferably white felt. Pour a small amount of oil onto the floor and using a machine, spread the oil over the entire surface to be finished. Make sure that the entire surface is covered with an even thin layer. When finishing beveled boards or parquet, we recommend first finishing the bevels with either a cloth or felt. Use the felt to remove excess oil from the floor for 10-20 minutes (depending on the temperature and humidity of the room). After 24 hours, use Unio -First Care, cover the entire finished surface using a mop.
Application of hardened oil wax, exotic wood (especially durable and slip-resistant floor)
To provide slip resistance and additional durability to a surface finished with oil wax, add 5% Glimtrex hardener to the oil wax (before finishing). The hardener and oil wax must be mixed thoroughly. Since the ready-mix has a pot life of only 45 minutes, do not mix more hardener and oil wax than you can apply to the surface to be finished in 45 minutes. The application of the ready-mixed product is the same as for a regular oil wax finish. Adding a hardener to the oil wax gives the finished surface additional durability and wear resistance, and adding a hardener also makes the finished surface slip-resistant.
Daily cleaning
Remove loose dust and other dirt with a vacuum cleaner. For wet cleaning, use Glimtrex Floor Unio Care. For not very dirty floors, dilute 25-50ml of Floor Unio Care with water and clean the floor using a damp mop. For very dirty floors and other surfaces, increase the detergent content in the water.
Wax layer renewal
Clean the floor or other finished surface from loose dirt, use damp cleaning if necessary. Apply a thin layer of Unio hardwax to the surface to be maintained. After 4-8 hours, the floor is ready for use. In public areas, the floor should be renewed as needed, 4-6 times a year or more frequently. Maintenance of ordinary floors (domestic use) should also be carried out as needed, once a year or less frequently.
Over oiling
To give the floor even greater durability and extend the next maintenance period, the surface finished with oil wax can be refinished once more. First clean the floor of dirt and then apply the oil wax using the method described above.
Safety
All clothes, rags and sponges that have come into contact with oil wax should be placed in a container filled with water. Or moved away from flammable materials. Clothes, mops etc. that have come into contact with oil wax may spontaneously combust!
