Food-Safe Oil
Food-Safe-Oil is a solvent-free, vegan and odorless vegetable oil. It consists of more than 99% renewable raw materials.
Features:
1. Food-safe - suitable for surface treatment of wooden objects in contact with food, e.g. kitchen worktops, cutting boards or fruit bowls, as well as for use on children's toys
2. Tested at the Fresenius Institute.
3. The dried oiled surface is dirt and water resistant and has good resistance to household chemicals.

6. The material complies with the EN 71-3 (2014-12) standard and the provisions of the German Food and Feed Act (LFGB) and Council Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 and has passed sensory tests, making it suitable for direct contact with food.
7. Saliva and sweat resistance according to DIN 53160 parts 1 and 2: no discoloration (Level 5)
Surface treatment:
● If necessary, sand the wood lightly, removing dirt and dust. The wood must be dry and clean.
● Glimtrex® Food-Safe-Oil should be applied at room temperature. We recommend testing on a small area before use.
● Apply the oil to the surface with a sponge or clean white cloth and rub the oil into the surface. Remove excess oil after 5-10 minutes at room temperature (20 °C) with a cotton cloth. ● The surface should feel dry after applying the oil, otherwise drying problems may occur. A second coat of oil can be applied after 16 hours at room temperature (20 °C).
Special recommendations:
● The oiled surface must stand at room temperature (20 °C) with sufficient air circulation for at least 1 week before coming into contact with food and animal feed. Regular cleaning: With clean water Refreshing: Reapply Food-Safe-Oil Consumption: 1 liter usually covers up to 20 m², depending on the condition of the surface. Technical data:
● Gloss level: matte
● Package size: 0.1 liter Warning: Oil-impregnated cotton cloth, cardboard or paper can cause spontaneous combustion due to heat build-up! They must therefore be washed, spread out and allowed to air dry before disposal. Shelf life: Minimum 24 months in the original sealed packaging. Stir the product thoroughly before use. There may be a film on the surface of the product which must be removed before mixing.
