INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE Suitable for a flat, dry and dust-free subfloor covered with a leveling compound, building board or existing floor covering. We recommend leveling the concrete subfloor with a suitable Kiilto low-alkaline leveling compound, which reduces the risk of damage to the floor covering or adhesive due to excessive alkaline moisture. Before installation, make sure that the existing floor covering is properly glued to the subfloor, that all wax residues have been removed from the surface and that it is suitable for gluing.
Apply Kiilto Pro Grip to the surface with a short-pile roller. You can also use a steel trowel. The adhesion of the adhesive film depends on the porosity of the subfloor and the amount of adhesive used. Allow to dry until a tacky film forms, and then install the flooring according to the manufacturer's instructions. Depending on the conditions, it may take 20–45 min for the tacky film to form. The flooring should be installed in the usual way, but the adhesive surface must be tacky before installation. Follow the flooring manufacturer's instructions for the correct amount of adhesive.
Kiilto Grip can be washed off by applying an alkaline detergent to the adhesive, e.g. Kiilto Maalarinpesupesu diluted with water (1 part Maalarinpesu and 5 parts water). Let the detergent take effect, remove the softened adhesive by hand or with a machine and rinse the surface with clean water. Cleaning may damage porous substrates, such as leveling compound or building boards. When washing Kiilto Grip off an old coating, make sure that the coating can withstand alkaline detergent.
Porous subfloors can be primed with diluted Kiilto Start Primer (1 part Start Primer and 4 parts water).
