Island skirting boards
Skirting boards are part of the finished floor, this also includes installation and painting. Varnishing or oiling the walls and floor. Skirting boards hide the expansion joints between the wooden floor and the wall. The expansion gap is necessary for the natural movement of the floorboards as humidity and temperature change.
Skirting boards are selected from the same type of wood as the plank floor. Skirting boards are installed with glue, nails or screws.
Skirting board dimensions:
Skirting board thickness (b): 16 mm, 17 mm, 19 mm, 20 mm.
Slat length: 1000 mm - 3000 mm
Height (h): 50mm, 70mm, 80mm, 110mm.
Wood type: Oak, Ash.
Class I - slats without knots and tone differences.
Class II - strips without differences in tone, small knots allowed.
Class III - strips without major differences in tone, small knots and sapwood are allowed.
