Maintenance of varnished floors

FLOORS KEEP THEIR IMMACULATE APPEARANCE PERMANENTLY WITH THE USE OF PARQUET MAINTENANCE PRODUCTS FOR HARDWOOD FLOORS.

Hardwood flooring creates a tasteful and elegant atmosphere in every home due to its beautiful appearance and high quality. Parquet covered with a varnish finish is particularly wear-resistant and durable. However, regular cleaning and maintenance is necessary to maintain the beautiful appearance of the floor.

Dry cleaning - with a mop, soft brush or vacuum cleaner.

Wet cleaning - parquet cleaning agent
Concentrated cleaning agent for regular use.

Instructions for use:

Mix the cleaner with water (depending on the manufacturer's product instructions): 5 capfuls per 10 l of water for daily cleaning and 10 capfuls for heavily soiled floors. Apply this mixture to the floor with a damp cloth or other suitable means.
Don't use too much water - too much moisture can cause the floor to swell at the joints. After cleaning the floor with a parquet cleaner, you can use a parquet polisher or refresher if necessary to give the varnish a protective layer.

MAINTENANCE

Instructions for use:

Clean the floor thoroughly. Apply the clean polish sparingly to the floor using a soft cloth or mop - do not pour the product directly onto the floor as this may cause swelling. The polish gives the floor a shine, so there is no need to over polish. After 30 minutes of drying, the floor can be walked on. For regular cleaning, the polishing agent can be added to the washing water (10 capfuls per 5 liters of water). If the layer of polish becomes too thick, it can be removed with a stain remover.

To remove the polish, apply the diluted product (10 capfuls per 5 liters of water) to the floor, let it sit for a few minutes and then wipe the floor with a little clean water - too much water can cause swelling. To remove heel marks, take one capful of remover per 100ml of water.

INITIAL CLEANING, MAINTENANCE AND REFRESHING USING THE PARQUET REFRESHING AGENT
RENEWING WORN AND DULL FLOORS

Consumption: 1 liter per 60-70 m2 (depends on the manufacturer's product instructions).
Refreshing agent is an alternative to parquet polishing agent in the maintenance of hardwood floors. It must not be used on floors treated with a polishing agent!

Instructions for use:

Clean the floor thoroughly. Polishing agent, wax residues and other dirt must be completely removed. Then apply the refresher using the supplied tool (Velcro mop with Freshen-up cover) and let dry for about 30 minutes. Check that there are no puddles on the floor as they can cause swelling, especially at joints. If the floor has to withstand a particularly heavy load, another layer of refresher can be applied.

Useful tips:

Room climate

For a better feeling of well-being and also for a better durability of the parquet floor, the room must be constantly 20-22ºC and the relative humidity 50-60%. We recommend using a humidifier to maintain the humidity level during the heating period.

Protecting the floor

Protect the parquet floor from sand and dirt by placing doormats at the entrance. Equip the legs of movable furniture with felt pads. Wood is a living material that is affected by many criteria. Therefore, we recommend that you carry out tests for a specific floor to find the optimal option.
